Learn how to create, join, and manage groups on Neutopia. Collaborate, share, and interact with users who share your interests.

Neutopia’s Groups feature is designed to foster collaboration and interaction among users with shared interests. This guide walks you through everything you need to know about joining, creating, and managing groups.


What Are Groups?

Groups are spaces where users can:

  • Collaborate with others.

  • Share content and ideas.

  • Interact with users who have similar passions.

💡 Who Can Join?: Groups are open to all user roles—everyone can participate!


Accessing Groups

  1. Login: Log in to your account

  2. Navigate to Groups: Open the side menu on the left and click "Groups."

3. Explore Groups: You’ll land on the "My Groups" page, where you can view and manage groups in the following categories:

  • My Groups: Groups you have created.

  • Joined Groups: Groups created by other members that you have joined.

  • Suggested Groups: Groups recommended to you based on your interests.


Viewing Group Details

1 Find a Group:

  • Login and navigate to "Groups" via the side menu.

  • Click on a group to open its details page.

2. Group Details Page:

  • View posts, members, and group-specific content.


Creating and Editing Groups

Creating a New Group

  1. Start the Process:

    • Login and go to "Groups" in the side menu.

    • Click "Add Group."

  1. Set It Up:

    • Fill in the required information (group name, description, etc.).

  1. Choose group Type

    • Public Groups: Open to all users.

    • Private Groups: Membership is by invitation or request.

  1. Finalize: Click "Submit" to create the group.

Editing or Deleting a Group

  1. Locate Your Group:

    • Login and navigate to "Groups" > "My Groups."

    • Select the group you want to edit.

  2. Edit the Group:

    • Open the group’s settings using the three-dot menu and select "Edit."

    • Make your changes and save.

  1. Delete the Group:

    • In the same menu, select "Delete."

    • Confirm your choice to remove the group permanently.


Interacting Within Groups

Posting in a Group

  1. Navigate to the Group:

    • Login and go to "Groups" > Select your group.

  2. Create a Post:

    • On the Group Details page, type your message and click "Post."

  • Add a personal touch with emoticons to make your post more engaging and expressive. Look for the emoticon option in the text editor.

  • Add audio, images, videos and document files

Editing or Deleting a Post

  1. Locate Your Post:

    • Find your post in the group’s newsfeed.

  2. Edit or Delete:

    • Use the edit or delete options to update or remove your post.

Using Likes and Comments

  1. Like/Unlike Posts:

    • Click the like button to show appreciation.

  1. Comment on Posts:

    • Click "Reply" to add your comment.

    • Edit or delete comments using the respective options.

Pinning Important Posts

  1. Pin a Post:

    • Locate the post and click the pin button to move it to the top of the newsfeed.

  2. Unpin a Post:

    • Click the pin button again to remove it.


Joining and Managing Memberships

Joining a Group

  1. Public Groups:

    • Login and go to "Groups."

    • Click "Interested" on a public group to join.

  2. Private Groups:

    • Request access by clicking "Interested" on a private group.

    • The request will change to "Requested." Wait for approval.

Managing Your Group

  1. Approve Join Requests:

    • Navigate to your group’s membership list.

    • Review and accept or decline requests.

  1. Add Members:

    • In the members list, click "Add Member" and select the user to invite.

  1. Remove Members:

    • Locate the member in the list.

    • Use the three-dot menu to select "Remove."
