1. Overview of the Startup Page
A Startup Page is a central profile on Neutopia for a startup or early-stage company. It lets you present what your startup does, who’s involved, and what you offer — giving your community and potential partners a clear picture of your mission, team, and offerings.
Getting Started: Creating Your Startup Page
Once you’ve created your Neutopia profile, you can add your startup to your community hub.
Step 1: Navigate to “Startups”
On the left-hand side navigation bar, click the Startups icon (🏢).
You’ll arrive on the My Startup dashboard.
Step 2: Click “Add Startup”
If you haven’t added a startup yet, you’ll see a red panel that says “No Startup added yet!”
Click the Add Startup button to begin setting up your page.
You can also click the grey Add Startup card in the same section.
This will open the Startup Page creation form where you can start entering your company details, upload your logo, banner, and complete your profile.
Key Startup Page features include:
Startup Page Admin Role: One designated contributor can set up and manage the Startup Page.
Team / Founders / Members: Add your core team, co-founders or key contributors to show who’s behind the startup.
Information Fields: Define important details such as location, working mode (remote, onsite, hybrid), industry/niche, languages, and funding/partnership status or other relevant attributes.
Tags / Interests: Add relevant tags or interest categories to help others find your startup by sector, market, or focus area.
Gallery / Media: Upload images (e.g. product photos, UI mockups, team photos, office, events) or video banners to make your page visually engaging.
Banner: Use a static or video banner (hero image) at the top for a strong first impression — e.g. your product in action, logo + tagline, or a brand visual.
Description / About: Provide a summary of what the startup does, its mission / vision / value proposition.
Products / Services / Projects: List your offerings — e.g. services, products, MVPs, features, or active projects.
Portfolio / Demo Gallery: Showcase prototypes, case studies, product demos or customer stories.
Follow Feature: Allow community members to follow your startup to receive updates and stay connected.
2. Adding Products / Projects and Portfolio Work
Step 1: Add Products / Projects
Navigate to the Projects / Products (or equivalent) tab on your Startup Page.
Click “Add Project/Product”, and fill in:
Project / Product Name
Description (what it is, why it matters)
Status (e.g. in development, launched, beta)
Duration or expected timeline (optional)
Key details (features, target users, links, etc.)
Click Save to publish the listing.
Step 2: Add to Demo / Portfolio Gallery
Go to the Portfolio / Student Gallery tab.
Upload images, screenshots or demo videos (e.g. UI mockups, product photos, user flows, marketing materials).
Add titles and descriptions to give context for each item (e.g. “Beta UI v0.1 — Dashboard”, “Customer onboarding video”, “Mobile app mockups”).
3. Managing Team Members and Founders / Contributors
Step 1: Invite a Contributor to Create the Startup Page
A community admin invites someone via the Admin Portal as “Contributor - Admin” for the startup.
Once accepted, that person can create the Startup Page and manage its content.
Step 2: Add Team Members / Founders / Ambassadors
Within the Startup Page’s team section, click Add Team Member / Ambassador.
Select the user profile to add (co-founder, developer, community lead, etc.).
You can assign roles or tags (e.g. “Co-Founder”, “Developer”, “Marketing Lead”) to reflect responsibilities.
If needed, you can transfer ownership if the original contributor leaves or changes role, to ensure continuity.
4. Managing Page Visibility & Publishing
Step 1: Preview Before Publishing
Use the “Edit / View Mode” toggle to preview how the Startup Page will appear to the public.
Verify that banner, gallery, tags, description and all sections are complete and visually appealing.
Step 2: Activate the Page
Flip the Active / Inactive switch to make the page live.
Only active pages will show up in searches, lists, or homepage features.
5. Adding Your Social Media Links
Your Startup Page includes an option to add all your key social channels so people can follow and engage with your work across platforms.
Step 1: Open “Add Social Media Links”
From your Startup Page editor, click Edit Profile → Add Social Media Links.
A pop-up window will appear (as shown below).
💡 Tip: Make sure your startup’s social handles are public and up to date before adding them — this helps others easily connect and share your updates.
Step 2: Enter Your Links
Fill in the fields for each platform you’d like to display:
🌐 Website URL – your main company or product website.
📘 Facebook – your official startup Facebook page.
💼 LinkedIn – your company LinkedIn profile (recommended).
📸 Instagram – great for behind-the-scenes visuals or culture content.
🐦 Twitter/X – for quick updates or public engagement.
When finished, click Submit to save your changes.
Step 3: Review and Publish
Once added, your icons will automatically appear on your Startup Page header or contact section.
You can edit or remove links at any time by reopening the Add Social Media Links dialog.
6. Troubleshooting & Tips
Page not visible? Check that the Active toggle is ON.
Upload issues? Make sure images or videos meet required formats/size constraints.
Team additions not working? Double-check email addresses and user profiles when inviting collaborators or ambassadors.
Keep content fresh: Regularly update products/projects, add new demo work, or update team info. This helps keep your startup page engaging and shows progress over time.
7. Why a Startup Page Layout Matters
Drawing from general best practices for startup pages: a clean, well-structured page with strong branding, clear messaging, and easy navigation helps you immediately communicate your value proposition.
A Startup Page gives your community, investors, partners or potential users a quick way to understand who you are, what you do, and the team behind it — right from one place.
