Getting Started: Setting Up Your Profile and Community as an Admin

This guide will help you set up your profile as a Community Admin quickly and efficiently. Follow these steps to get started.

Securing Your Password

The first step is securing your account with a strong password:

  1. Activate Your Account: Click the "Join Community" link in the email you received.

  2. Find the Welcome Page: Navigate to the Welcome Page and select "Set Password Here."

  3. Create Your Password: On the Setup page, create a secure password.

  4. Confirmation Screen: Once your password is set, you’ll see a confirmation screen.

💡 Tip: Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols for added security.


Shaping Your Profile

After setting your password, you’ll begin the onboarding process:

  1. Set Up Your Profile: Complete the "Setup Your Profile" step.

    • Most fields will be pre-filled with your registration data.

    • Click "Next" to continue or "Cancel" to pause and return later.

  2. Fill Required Fields: Ensure all mandatory fields are completed. Missing information will be flagged for correction.

💡 Tip: Take your time to ensure your profile accurately represents you and your community.


Selecting Your Interests

Define your interests to personalize your experience:

  1. Browse Interests: Use the search function to find topics that interest you.

  2. Select a Minimum of Six: Choose at least six interests to activate the "Next" button.

  3. Continue Setup: Once you’ve selected your interests, proceed to the next step.

💡 Tip: Your selected interests will shape your content recommendations.


Setting Up Your Community

Customize your community’s identity:

  1. Set Your Community Name and Tagline: Choose a name and tagline that represent your community.

  2. Select an Industry Type: Categorize your community with the appropriate industry type.

Choosing Your Theme

Select a theme to personalize your community:

  1. Access Theme Setup: Navigate to the Community Theme Setup page.

  2. Pick Your Colors: Choose from the default options or customize your own.

  3. Save Your Selection: Confirm and save your theme.

💡 Tip: Ensure your theme aligns with your community’s branding.

Completing the Setup

Once you’ve completed all steps, you’ll be directed to your new Home Page. Take some time to explore and familiarize yourself with the platform.


Revisiting Previous Steps

If you need to make changes:

  • Use the "Back" button to return to previous steps during the setup process.

  • Revisit steps as needed to ensure everything is accurate.
